CA Engineering would like our clients and candidates to become familiarized with our consultants. Today, we are introducing recruiter Greg Beeby. To find out more about the man you might be working with, check out the Q & A we did with Greg Beeby below!
Tell us a little about yourself?
I am 30 years young. I am living in Cape Town but am originally from the Eastern Cape, the secret gem of South Africa. I enjoy to keeping active no matter if it’s cycling, running, hiking or just being out in the fresh air.
Job title+ Areas of expertise/interest at CA Global?
I am a recruitment Consultant, specializing in the Engineering sector at CA Global.
Academic background?
I completed my Matric at Selborne College in East London. From there I studied Industrial Psychology and HRM at NMMU in Port Elizabeth.
Fun fact about yourself?
No matter the weather outside, you will always find me wearing slip-slops. Outside of work of course.
Who is your role model and why?
I wouldn’t say that I have a role model, but I have looked up to different people for different spheres of my life. For Rugby, it would most certainly be Jaque Fourie, that man can run a line. However if we are talking about life in general, I would have to say my parents because of the way that they have approached life and managed to conquer the different obstacles that have fallen in their way.
Advice for clients/candidates?
The advice I would give to a candidate is to be yourself, be professional and don’t sell yourself on skills that you do not possess as this can come back to bite you very quickly.
Which country within Africa do you think will be the next hot spot and why?
I think that Angola will be the next hot spot in Africa. We have been seeing a lot of development in Angola over the last year and I feel that this is only the beginning for Angola.
What is your outlook within your industry over the next 5 years?
I believe that the Engineering industry is on the way up and will project growth throughout Africa.
CA Global is a big believer in Africa, why do YOU believe in Africa?
I believe in Africa because it is rich with opportunities waiting to be tapped into. The continent has so much to give with its vibrant mix of cultures and diverse climate for doing business.
