Job Description:


 


Our client is seeking a qualified Auto Electrician with experience on underground mobile equipment within the mining industry to join their team on site in Tanzania.


 


Responsibilities:


  • Diagnostics, fault finding, maintenance and repairs of electrical issues on a variety of underground equipment.
  • Inspections of equipment.
  • Ensure that equipment is maintained in accordance with health, safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure the preparation and execution of maintenance plans and schedules.
  • Ensuring that all maintenance activities are planned and carried out in a cost-effective manner with minimal disruption to operational activity.
  • Correct unsafe work practices immediately when observed.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Managing equipment component change outs and rebuilds.
  • Ensure compliance to OEM  repair practices.
  • Assist with the induction and training of new team members.


 


Requirements: Qualification and Skill


  • Auto Electrician Certificate.
  • 8 years previous experience in the electrical maintenance of underground mobile equipment within large mining operations.
  • Experience on Sandvik, Caterpillar and Normet underground equipment.
  • CMMS experience.
  • Computer literate.
  • Experience providing technical training.
  • Able to work within a culturally diverse team.
  • Tanzanian nationals encouraged to apply.
