Job Description:
Our client is looking for an Auto Electrician Supervisor who will oversee the electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of Caterpillar mining equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. The role will involve diagnosing electrical faults, supervising a team of electricians, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance activities for mining machinery.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in Caterpillar trucks, loaders, excavators, and
- ancillary equipment.
- Ensure proper installation and maintenance of electrical systems, wiring, and onboard
- electronics.
- Implement and oversee electrical safety procedures and standards.
- Train and mentor junior electricians on best practices in electrical repairs and
- diagnostics.
- Maintain records of electrical maintenance and repairs for reporting and compliance.
- Work closely with mechanical teams to ensure seamless equipment functionality
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Trade Certificate or Diploma in Auto Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience as an Auto Electrician, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Expertise in diagnosing electrical issues in heavy mining equipment, especially
- Caterpillar.
- Familiarity with mining safety regulations and electrical best practices.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, remote mining environment
