Job Description:

As a Solar Specialist, you will be part of the Electrification Products Division and Electrification Products Solar Business Units (BU) based in Port Louis, Mauritius. As a Solar Specialist you will be responsible to implement sales strategy for solar segment, speed, hunger for Growth (Orders), quality of salesmanship and cost efficiency are characteristics to our sales force. You will be accountable to deliver according to set targets.



  • Collating and understanding the market spread for solar and together with segment manager developing this into Country plans.
  • Analysis of business intelligence in terms of pricing and product needs and share the same with all concern (country Management or BU management etc.) so as to implement the sales strategies.
  • Provide technical assistance to the channel partners, EPC’s, end users and consultants – Pre, during and after


  • Organize and participate in technical discussion with channel partners, EPC’s, end users and consultants.
  • As a sales engineer for solar segment you shall be responsible for identifying the projects and finalizing the right channel

to execute. Nurturing the existing channel partners and EPC’s and also develop new Channel partners and EPC’s in accordance with the Country Plan.

  • Attend to Site Complaints for all solar customers with the help of channel partner and sort them through the supply unit.
  • To coordinate and discuss with various feeder factories to get the best possible solution for the current and future

requirements of the customer.

  • Play an active role in training the channel partners and customers on various products for Solar Segment.
  • Help the customer, consultant, EPC’s channel partners to design the solar park and connectivity to the grid or off grid


  • Ensure execution of customer satisfaction surveys (NPS), analyse results and develop offering.
  • Systematically plan and build relationships on multi levels with key customers to make us as a part of customers’ DNA.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

  • Ideally you will have a B. E (Electrical or equivalent) degree from a reputed university.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience within the country in sales of various products to the solar segment.
  • Your knowledge on wide market and product will be an added advantage.
  • Your proven success of sales in local market, possess communication, cooperation, negotiation skill, understanding of customer needs, experience in customer interface, social networking and stress-tolerant, cultural sensitivity, flexibility, open to traveling will make you the ideal candidate.
